Purpose of Earthly Life - A New Species

We are all here to evolve; some just do it faster than others.

Today, we need a special kind of leader. Someone who is grounded in Truth and will empower people to achieve a higher good. We have seen these leaders in the past: Signers of the Declaration of Independence, Winston Churchill, Mahatma Ghandi, and Martin Luther King.

What if this leadership emerged at the local level? Where a groundswell of self-empowerment emerges from communities and grows through the states and nation.

What is the higher Truth? This question is easily answered by a simple muscle test, sometimes referred to as kinesiology. There are thousands of people throughout the world who are familiar with the technique, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work for the masses. So, is there a well-tested, successful approach to a higher Truth. The answer can be found in the 12 steps of AA.

In the first step, we recognize that we alone cannot solve our deep problems without the assistance of a higher power - not another human, but rather an invisible, yet ever-present energy field that can’t be defined in human words but can only be known. The same energy that led the Pilgrims to survive their horrific journey across the Atlantic; the same power that inspired Ghandi to stand against and defeat the British empire without firing a single shot; the same higher Truth that encouraged Martin Luther King to resolutely march peacefully to tear down the wall of racial inequality. The power is there, we only need to have the courage to let go of our self-interest and honestly admit that we can not get out of this mass formation without the help of a higher power.

Mass formation is a societal addiction. What is the addiction? It is an addiction to fear. An addiction so strong that society will forgo life, liberty and happiness - God given rights - in exchange for false safety and protection. This fear can only be transcended by honestly recognizing it then surrendering to the higher truth. The higher truth that results in self-empowerment and a greater good. This is the lesson from the 12 steps of AA.

In his book Letting Go - The Pathway of Surrender, the prolific contemporary spiritual teacher David Hawkins said:

“We have the unconscious fantasy that fear is keeping us alive; this is because fear is associated with our whole set of survival mechanisms. We have the idea that, if we were to let go of fear, our main defense mechanism, we would become vulnerable in some way. In reality, the truth is just the opposite. Fear is what blinds us to the real dangers of life. In fact, fear itself is the greatest danger that the human body faces. It is fear and guilt that bring about disease and failure in every area of our lives. We could take the same protective actions out of love rather than out of fear. Can we not care for our bodies because we appreciate and value them, rather than out of fear of disease and dying? Can we not be of service to others in our life out of love, rather than out of fear of losing them? Can we not be polite and courteous to strangers because we care for our fellow human beings, rather than because we fear losing their good opinion of us? Can we not do a good job because we care about the quality of our performance and we care about our fellow workers? Can we not perform our job well because we care about the recipients of our services, rather than just the fear of losing our jobs or pursuing our own ambition? Can we not accomplish more by cooperation, rather than by fearful competition? Can we not drive carefully because we have a high regard for ourselves and care for our welfare and those who love us, rather than because we fear an accident? On a spiritual level, isn’t it more effective if, out of compassion and identification with our fellow human beings, we care for them, rather than trying to love them out of fear of God’s punishment if we don’t?”

Another great spiritual leader once spoke about fears and worries. He counseled to surrender to a higher Truth, a natural process for all life. Here is what Jesus said:

25Because of this I say to you, you shall not take pains for yourselves with what you will eat, or what you will drink, neither for your body, what you will put on; behold, is not the soul greater than food, and the body than clothing? 26Behold the birds of the sky, that they neither sow nor reap, neither do they gather into barns, and your Father who is in Heaven sustains them; behold, are you not better than they? 27But who of you, while taking pains, is able to add a foot and a half to his stature? 28And why are you taking pains about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow without laboring or weaving. 29But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these. 30But if God so clothes the grass of the field that is today and will fall into the oven tomorrow, does he not multiply more to you, Oh small of faith? 31Therefore do not be concerned or say, ''What will we eat?', or ''What will we drink?', or,''What will we wear'? 32For the Gentiles are seeking all these things, but your Father who is in Heaven knows that all these things are necessary for you. 33But seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

We now have the opportunity and solution for the Great Awakening. When a mass of society crosses the barrier of courage towards the heaven on earth that we pray for. This step is the evolution of Homo Spiritus.

Do Americans Hate America?

The poet Sir Walter Scott wrote: “Breathes there the man, with soul so dead, Who never to himself hath said, This is my own, my native land!” There are people throughout our society who want to fundamentally change America, the great country that stands for Liberty and Justice for all. Why do they want to uproot the principles and basic truths that have freed the oppressed and given all people who live within its borders the opportunity to choose and pursue life, liberty, and happiness? The simple answer is: they hate America. There have always been people who hate and that's never going to change. People come into this world with a level of consciousness and they have the freedom to evolve to higher levels. However, for various reasons, they don’t. I accept that and with compassion it is understood that they are doing the best they can. What I have a concern with are leaders, particularly politicians who through their silence support the America haters. America is great because no...

Naturopathic Medicine: Mindfulness for Health and Well-being

According to the article "Naturopathic Medicine: Top Ten Tips" , it is recommended that mindfulness is expanded by practicing meditation and/or contemplation. The underlying purpose of mindfulness is to become aware of feelings. Feelings are the driver of our behavior, the source of either health or dis-ease. While both mindful tools increase awareness, it is important to know the difference between meditation and contemplation. Meditation means to sit-down in a quiet place and become the focus of awareness of the mind. To witness the mind as a phenomenon without identifying with its activity. Meditation is an activity that is carved out for a specific time outside normal daily routine. By comparison, contemplation is a way a being throughout the normal activities of the day. The feeling or affirmation is set by intention at the beginning of the day and is held in mind with focus throughout the day. Contemplation doesn't disrupt the daily activity. It enhances life expe...
